What’s New for the 2022 Lexus IS?

2022 Lexus IS vs 2021 Lexus IS: Engine Options, Specs and Features 

The Lexus IS is a compact and fun-to-drive luxury sedan with a pair of standard engine options – a 241-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 311-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine – that get paired with an eight-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive Lexus IS 300 models with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will earn 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drive is available with a 260-horsepower variant of the 3.5-liter V-6 engine. A track-tuned 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance model is a welcome addition to the lineup that is a standalone option and will feature a 472-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 engine that will sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. 

When you slide into the driver’s seat of the 2022 Lexus IS, it will feel like a familiar friend with a cabin loaded with next-generation technology and luxury amenities. Infotainment is provided by a standard 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system with access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa capabilities – that can be upgraded via the available 10.3-inch touchscreen display. Award-winning safety is a focus of the 2022 Lexus IS and its predecessor with a suite of Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 features that include a Pre-Collision System with Frontal Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Bicyclist Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and more.
