To be sold only at select Lexus dealerships, the GR GT is a supercar from Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR). It carries on the tradition of the Toyota 2000GT and the original Lexus LFA, two cars that defined what a Japanese performance machine could be. Under the hood sits a newly developed 4.0L V8 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain paired with an 8-speed automatic and a rear transaxle.
Its all-aluminum build is reinforced with carbon, marking the first of its kind from TGR. Development was led by Master Driver Morizo (Akio Toyoda) alongside professional drivers Kataoka, Ishiura, and Gamou. Projected GR GT prices are expected to start at or above $220,000; and, it will be worth every penny.
