2025 Lexus LX vs Cadillac Escalade

Performance Differences

The 2025 LX 600  is a powerful engine with the performance qualities once associated only with the Cadillac Escalade. Twin turbo V6 output is so efficient that the LX torque rate is actually higher than the Escalade V8 output. In this way, Lexus offers up a balance of dynamic power and favorable efficiency.

If you want even more power, the Lexus 700h uses a twin-turbo V6 and adds a high-torque electric motor. This cranks out 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. With a built-in hitch, the LX tow rating is a whopping 8,000 pounds.

As you can see, these two engines match or exceed the Escalade’s output. Even better, every Lexus LX offers a luxury-level ride quality as good or better as any Cadillac. An adaptive suspension smooths out dips and bumps, making passengers feel at home while offering smooth handling to the driver.

Cadillac discontinued the diesel 3.0-liter inline-six for 2025. If a shopper wants to step up from the 420-horsepower V8 engine, the only choice now is the Escalade V-Series, which starts at $164,495.

Some Neat Tricks

For luxury shoppers who love to grab the latest advancements, the 2025 Lexus LX 700h has some neat tricks not found on the Escalade.

It starts with the kick of electric torque, which is always faster than traditional gas-powered torque. However, Lexus has gone beyond that to develop e-Crawl. If off-roading, the LX driver can employ this feature for slow-speed driving. It harnesses low-speed torque to provide the push needed when moving over obstacles as slow speeds.

Since the LX has a battery pack, the LX 700h driver can utilize that power for small appliances.  A 2,400-watt inverter is standard. This feature is unavailable on the Escalade.

Another Lexus exclusive comes with the brand’s Advanced Park system. You can stand to the side while a Remote Park function maneuvers the 3-row SUV into a space. This is unavailable with the Cadillac Escalade in Phoenix.

Always the Best

When it comes to pampering, the Lexus LX is as well equipped as the Escalade. In fact, it may be better equipped.

Standards include ventilated power chairs, handsome leather upholstery, a leather wrapped dashboard, a refrigerated compartment, and a power-adjustable steering column.  A remarkable 33 inches of screens stretch across the dash to provide digital instrumentation and an easy-to-use navigation touchscreen.

The list of driver assist technologies is longer than the Cadillac’s. Among the newest features, standard adaptive cruise control now benefits from curve-speed management.  Forward collision avoidance now includes an emergency steering assist as well as an autobrake.

Parking standards include a panoramic view system and Intuitive Parking Assist with autobrake. By day or night, illuminated running boards help you in and out. Learn more in this 2025 LX Review.

Bespoke Surroundings

Part of the Escalade’s allure has been its bespoke cabin and top amenities. The Lexus LX manages to address this on every level. It starts with interior colors such as circuit red, white, peppercorn, and sunflare as well as quieter shades such as palomino and stone brown.

Standard massaging front seats can be joined by massaging seats on the second row. Captain’s chairs power-ventilation as well as power-adjustments and power-heat.  Since this ride offers a limo-like seating arrangement, second-row passengers may enjoy a power ottoman and other extras for their comfort.

A Lexus LX exclusive is the availability of a 4-seat, 5-seat or 6-seat version. These personalized options aren’t featured on the Cadillac.

Standards and Unique Features

LX Overtrail Trim

While the Escalade holds close to its limo-like image, the Lexus LX is ultimately a driver’s car. It has its soft side, but as Car and Driver says, it can be “a rough capable brute”.  This makes it perfect for our Southwest lifestyle.

From headlamp washers to rain-sensing wipers to auto-fog windshields, it seems that every scenario has been anticipated. With the Overtrail trim, the LX has turn assist to make this big rig more pliable in tight spaces. Crawl control,  Downshill Assist and a trail camera system round out its electronic advantages.

Like any good trail adventurer, it wears 33-inch off-road tires and stands a little taller.  A height-adjustable suspension makes it even more flexible when faced with obstacles.

Take the New Path to Luxury

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade in Escalade remains a formidable SUV. It’s just that the Lexus LX -- whether it’s the Lexus LX 600 or 700h -- is so powerful and well-endowed that it meets all the benchmarks.  Why should a shopper settle for a nameplate based on its old reputation when a much better SUV challenges it?

You’ll find the Lexus LX in Phoenix at Earnhardt Lexus. At our North Scottsdale showroom, our staff can show you the many color schemes and exciting technologies of the LX lineup. You can use our No Bull Express to shop online.
