2025 UX 300h Interior
From the initial trim level to the F Sport Handling variant, this entry level luxury ride holds its own. Kelley Blue Book writes that you wouldn’t guess it is the most affordable from the inside. It has everything you’d expect in a Lexus, rendering the quality materials and craftsmanship that make a Lexus such a good purchase. It’s more polished for the money as Car and Driver explains it.
With extra room for the driver and front seat passenger, the daily commute is comfortable. Long term trips are less stressful with the plush, comfortable power-adjustable seating. Air conditioning can regulate itself thanks to the dual-zone automatic climate controls.
Base editions come with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Stepping up to the Premium or F Sport trim levels, the owner enjoys a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The more advanced 12.3-inch touchscreen is easy to use. Standards include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
With a Drive Connect subscription, the owner can access Cloud Navigation and utilize Google Points of Interest. Other advantages include the Toyota Intelligent Assistant for the faster and most effective voice interactions. Remote Connect offers the Lexus App for easy remote starts and the Digital Key for truly keyless driving.
Zoomy Performance
The overhaul of the Lexus UX powertrain is extensive. The older style battery is switched out for a lithium-ion battery, helping it lose weight while gaining power. Shift-by-wire technology allows for more weight loss as electronics replace heavy mechanical parts.
The new hybrid transaxle allows the front and rear motors to generate more power and torque. Ensuring the best use of fuel, the planetary-type continuously variable transmission handles gear shifts with incredible precision.
With more capability, the new powertrain produces 196 combined horsepower.
Fuel economy is expected to be around 44 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 43 mpg combined. AWD models are almost as thrifty, earning 42/39/41 mpg city-highway-combined.
This Lexus offers the handling agility and smooth ride quality that the brand is known for. This is accomplished with a refined suspension and electronic tools, such as Active Cornering Assist.
E-Four is the unique all-wheel drive system made possible by adding a motor to the rear axle. This ensures grip on slippery road surfaces. It also enables faster take-offs.
New Build
While the UX didn’t have to be completely redesigned, the build was altered to assist the more powerful hybrid system. The battery is positioned beneath the second row to allow for more room in the cargo hold.
The hood, doors and fenders are made with lightweight military grade aluminum. The tailgate contains composite materials.
Not only is it lighterweight, but the 2025 Lexus UX 300h has a lower center of gravity. This contributes to its planted stance and agile handling.
For aerodynamics, Lexus designers utilized special wheel arch moldings. These channel airflow to improve stability. Plus they are made to catch flying gravel before it can hit the vehicle. Plus there is a special underbody cover that further reduces turbulence.
Lexus reduces airflow at the rear of the SUV by utilizing Aero Stabilizing Blade Lights. These unique features do double duty as they create an exciting nighttime light signature and guide airflow for less lift. The rear wears a wing-type spoiler to channel airflow coming off of the roof.
Exterior Colors and Interior Color Schemes
Cabins are richly furnished with NuLuxe upholstery in a variety of colors. This includes black, Palomino, Lapis, and Birch. F Sport Handling models add the option of a Black and Circuit Red color scheme.
This is the first year that the popular Copper Crest exterior color is widely available across the lineup. Other exterior colors include the exciting Redline, a gorgeous Nori Green Pearl, and Cloudburst Gray. You can also choose from the cleverly named Caviar and Iridium exterior colors. Grecian Water and Eminent White Pearl are also on the color wheel.
A handsome Obsidian can become the accent roof on F Sport Models. These trim levels offer a more select 7 color menu. However, Lexus adds Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 to your choices.
Wheels are available in creative designs such as a split-five-spoke option. Colors include gloss black, matte black, dark gray and/or machined finish.
F Sport Design and Handling
F Sport exteriors go for a sporty, mysterious vibe. In addition to the trim-specific grille and wheels, they are dressed with black roofs and dark roof rails. Special exterior features include cornering lamps and automatic headlamp leveling.
F Sport Design models have the high-tech cockpit and a power moonroof. F Sport Design models have exclusive sport seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and aluminum pedals. A kick sensor lets you open the power liftgate.
Setting the F Sport Handling trim level apart, Lexus adds its Active Variable Suspension This does double duty, assisting with sharper handling and providing luxury-level ride quality.
If you decide to trade up to the Lexus UX, try out this Kelley Blue Book . Your current ride is probably a good down payment toward a new Lexus.
Cost to Own
Few luxury rides attempt to bring together the money-saving aspects of ownership. However, the 2025 Lexus 300h is different. The starting price is under $40,000. This relative low starting price is less expensive than many competitors, notes Car and Driver.
If you compare this model to its rivals, you won’t find much competition for the hybrid powertrain. Fuel economy will save money month after month, year after year. This is especially true since this Lexus uses regular fuel.
This model has another ownership advantage over rivals. Lexus offers better warranty coverage than many luxury car makers. Specifically, the powertrain coverage runs for two years longer than BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.
-
Limited warranty: 4 years or 50,000 miles
-
Powertrain warranty: 6 years or 70,000 miles
-
Hybrid battery coverage 10 years, 150,000 miles
-
Complimentary maintenance: 1 year or 10,000 miles
Then there’s the resale values, which according to Kelley Blue Book, have been consistently good for this Lexus model. In fact, the model has repeatedly earned the Lowest 5-year Cost to Own Award.
Driver Assistance Standard Features
When you are driving the 2025 Lexus 300h, millimeter-wave radar and many cameras send signals to sensors to help you avoid trouble. The advanced pre-collision system can watch for people, bikes, motorcycles, and traffic problems ahead. It can warn you and even engage an emergency autobrake to try and lessen the chances of a bad crash.
It has gained two new capabilities this model year. A Risk Avoidance function includes an emergency steer assist and the ability to detect large objects in the SUV’s path. Plus the .autobrake function may respond to a Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection system.
New for 2025, Lexus adaptive cruise control has Curve Speed Management. This helps assist with taking curves safely at speed. Other aids include a Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign detection, and a Proactive Driving Assist.
Lexus UX 300h Price and Trim Levels
Keeping the price ladder tighter and, therefore more affordable, the Lexus UX 300h price starts at an MSRP of $37,490. The 8 trim levels top out at $47,525.
The base trim is front-wheel drive, but shoppers can step up to all-wheel drive. Likewise, the 300h Premium, F Sport Design, and F Sport Handling models are offered as a FWD or AWD trim level.
One of the best values is the 2025 Lexus UX 300h Premium trim level. It adds favorites like a power liftgate, heated seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a moonroof. Even better, it has the ventilated front seats that Phoenix metro drivers really need during our hot summers.
